Various lids and containers from used to transport carry out food, arranged and modified to create the housing and shade for a single light bulb.

Carry out containers piled up during the pandemic. The stockpile exceeded their direct reuse as food storage, but the desire to extend their lifespan of utility persisted, so alternative uses were sought for them: vessels for storing small domestic miscellanea, lids as drip trays for potted plants. Ennui led to mindlessly stacking and arranging them in an attempt to inspire some yet unknown purpose, and eventually the forms became reminiscent of lamps, so lamps they became.

They now appear as minor monuments to those strange years of the pandemic's height: portraits of containment, of protective isolation against the outside world and it's invisible horrors, of humble and intentional warmth.
