Thin sheets of alabaster are gently held in position with wires against a metal frame. Lightbulbs are affixed to the backs of the stone panels.

When not illuminated, the stone surface is pallid and soft, more precarious.

When illuminated, the light spills around the stone and struggles but eventually passes through the stone, weakened. And in its effort, it resembles the glow of the sun. When the sky is overcast and the air dulled, it fills the room with warmth, like the light through a window on a day with sun.
