Three clear incandescent light bulbs are each bound by thin stainless steel wire to three separate stones, a composition of three distinct components. The first stone sits grounded upon a surface, while the second and third ones hang in the air above, appearing as if they are floating upwards. The lower components gaze upward to the ones aspiring above them. They are a family, they are connected and share the same power source. The ascending components' electrical wires sink downwards and delicately grace and entwine with the stones below.

As with DYING LIGHTS (A PAIR, GROUNDED), the positioning of the steel wires is an artifact of the unplanned and haphazard process of providing enough tension to permanently affix the bulbs within their stone cradles. Because the bulbs themselves are bound to the stones, this means the bulbs physically cannot be replaced, so when they burn out, the lamp transitions into what it always already was: a sculpture. The lifespan of the sculpture as a lamp is entwined with the lifespan of the bulbs. The light the lamp provides becomes precious.
